Great air mattress. Very comfortable, easy inflate/deflate., May 7, 2010
Review By jut87 (Cape Canaveral, FL) –
This is a great air mattress. I bought this to sleep on for about a week after a recent move until my bed and household items shipped to my new house. The air mattress inflates very easily. Just plug it into the wall and turn on the switch. In just a few minutes the bed is fully inflated. The bed is nice and high, and feels like a real bed. The bed loses a little bit of air overnight, but not enough that will wake you up or cause discomfort. I usually turned on the pump for 30 seconds before going to bed each night to make sure it was fully inflated. After sleeping on this for a week, I have no complaints. It was very comfortable, and offered all of the comforts of a standard mattress. I’d recommend this for guests, camping, or anyone who needs an air mattress. It also comes with a canvas carrying bag, which the mattress fits into once deflated and folded.
The closest you’ll get to a traditional bed without actually buying one, the Intex Air-Flow queen airbed is ideal for travelers who want the comforts of a bed but the convenience of a blow-up mattress. The top and sides of the bed are constructed with a special network of interconnected air cells that cause the air to flow smoothly and gradually across the sleeping surface. The unique engineering creates a luxurious sleeping surface that’s comfortable and stable–a dramatic departure from many other inflatable beds. The mattress is also equipped with a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge waterproof flocked top with 15-gauge vinyl beams and 16-gauge sides and bottom for stability. And best of all, the Air-Flow mattress is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere 3-1/2 minutes. No more fussing with tiring hand or foot pumps or rummaging through the garage for your detached electric pump. And should the mattress feel a little too soft or firm, you can customize the comfort level with the touch of a button.
The Air-Flow is raised 20 inches from the floor, making it far taller than most inflatable mattresses. And at 60 by 20 by 80 inches (W x H x D), the mattress is an official queen size, making it a good fit for fitted sheets. The Air-Flow queen bed–which offers a capacity of 600 pounds–is a terrific choice whether you’re sleeping at the in-law’s overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. The mattress comes with an AC power cord and a duffel bag (for storage) and carries a 90-day limited warranty.
This is the best bed Intex has ever made! By Victor
If air beds got awards or ribbons, this bed would get the Gold. First off, the supplier is excellent with xtra-fast shipping! I’ve no complaints! Now, for the bed: I’ve slept on this air-bed for a month now and it is superb! I expected air leaks but there have been none! I have slept on the edge and in the middle (my preference) and there was no “bowing” or “lifting” as often found in other air beds. The bed stayed flat – I think this is due to its design. It’s as comfortable as you make it – comfort level can be adjusted, although I do think a hand-held remote would be easier to use. Still, it is the best of its kind! I’ve been sleeping on air beds for the past 13 years (different brands including Aerobed) and this one is outstanding. I highly reccommend this bed to any who may be searching for a temporary or even semi-permanent bed(no air bed lasts much over a year or two if used every night)! I plan to pick up a second one early next year just in case this model becomes hard to find in a year from now or the price jumps much higher. What really surprised me is that this bed is Intex. I’ve been highly critical of Intex in the past due to problems with their beds. It seems that, at least with this model, they finally got it right!
